The Official Ultrakids Website
Ultrakid DVDs 02/25/2009

I got a form submission recently concerning Ultrakid DVDs. This is what part of it said:
Joshua the Ultrakids movies were great. I wonder if you could copy it to DVD and sell it so everyone could buy it? It will be more exciting when you burn it to DVD.

Why don't we make DVDs and sell them? It would probably cover some of the costs of making the movies, right? (those movies actually cost something to make them, don't get me wrong)

Well the answer is simple: we can't sell them because we use copyrighted music in the movies. Some of you are probably listening to the movies and saying "Hey that sounds like Kung Fu Panda or X-Men."
If someone composed and recorded custom music for the Ultrakids movies, then we could sell them. Unfortunately, that is rendered impossible for Ultrakids 1 and 2. The reason why is that the copyrighted music is imprinted onto the audio track, mixed with the sound effects and voices. To take the music off would require serious re-editing.
On the other hand, Ultrakids 3 is off the hook because I edited it with Premiere Pro and taking the music out is a simple task.

So there you have it. The reason the Ultrakids isn't on DVD.

But do not despair. There is something new coming soon, something big...this April...

P.S. There is a hidden music file dedicated to the Ultrakids somewhere on this site...

I wrote this poem for my English project. See if you can guess what it's talking about:

The Offspring of the Great
    Start small

   Snuggling underneath warm blankets

When peeking from their comfort zone

    The Sun
    Is there to feed them
As the days grow old and the young mature

They grow up on their own
And join the multitude of brothers
Feel new life, producing
    Good Fruit
And a new story starts

Ninety.
Ninety.
Ninety.
...
You heard me right. Ninety.
Ninety people visited the site yesterday. That's like...(95, 96, 97,...) almost one hundred!
So have fun, join the forums, comment on the bios, whatever. Oh yeah, forgot to point that out. We have a new Bios section where you can read all about the Ultrakids characters. It's a little something I wrote in 2007 for Ultrakids 2. I didn't know why I wrote it back then; it just seemed like a good thing to do.
And now the present. Need a bios section? Walah! Done! Convenient, huh?
By the way, please alert me if there are in misspellings in this blog. It's not that I'm a bad speller; it's just that if I don't know exactly how to spell a word, I sound it out. Then usually this dotty red line appears under the word, telling me I didn't sound it out quite right (right now there's a dotty red line under 'bios' and 'Walah!' Dotty red line...I like that phrase...)
Of course, some posts back I typed 'okay.' Huh? There goes that dotty red line again. Except that okay is a real word. At least, I'm pretty sure...o...k...a...y...yep, pretty sure.
So I right-clicked on 'okay' to find out what the all-knowing powerful spell checker wanted to correct me on.
'click'
'box popping up noise'
...
Tokay.
What the heck is Tokay? Maybe it's 'too okay' combined.
Anyway, this rusty-trusty spell checker isn't too reliable I think. Unless Tokay is a word. Which I'm going to find out soon. But not now. I'm blogging right now. Duh.
I think I'm getting that hang on this blog. I just wrote I don't know how many words about a spell checker.

Type 'ultrakids' in Google. I'll give you a sec...okay.
Currently, on February 18, the first and second link leads to the Ultrakids movies on Godtube, the third is this website! Hurrah! Dominator of the first three spots!
The fourth...eh...it's a link to Care-and-Comfort, a memory foam mattress maker for children and teenagers. Whatever that means. (that is the primary reason I could not register ultrakids.com as a domain name. How in the world can you name a mattress something as cool as 'Ultrakids'?)
Anyway, on the brighter side, I am almost finished storyboarding my 'pitch' scene for my next project, which I began yesterday. Hopefully you'll see some of it by April 2009.

EDIT: When I typed 'ultrakids' in another computer, this website was number one! What is it on yours?

A Man made of GingerBread
Didn't have a ginger head
Whatever he saw, he had to destroy it
(The worst part about it was that he actually enjoyed it)
The giant cookie lurked in a city
Named Didderville, and the result was not pretty
Everyone present would tremble in fear
Whenever the colossal piece of bread would appear
No one in Didderville dare even smirk
But in their heads they were thinking, "Let's kill this old jerk!"
Mr. Gingerbread crushed their buildings and roads
Their libraries, houses, and LemonBerry Toads.
The people of Didderville thought they were done
The only food available were gingerbread crumbs
But when Peter Willis placed a bomb
At the giant's feet and set it on
(or set it off, but as you can tell
I needed to rhyme with bomb, oh well)
Cookie Goliath then exploded
Into gingerbread rocks which soon eroded
And everyone in Didderville shouted for joy
But where was our heroic little boy?
Alas, Peter Willis wasn't too smart
T'was two feet away when the bomb blew apart
So now our little boy lies dead
In a coffin made of gingerbread

My good friend Stephen Ng designed and created the poster for Ultrakids 3. If you think he did a great job, post your comments by clicking on the title above (Ultrakids 3 Poster).

Back in 2006, I asked Over-the-Hill-Good-Guy to write down short bios for each of the Ultrakids. Here they are, public for the first time:

Odor Boy – After years of not taking a bath, or brushing his
teeth or changing his underwear, Odor boy has become one of the
Mightiest and feared of the Ultra kids. If you ever dare to challenge
Odor boy and he raises his arms….beware.

Sonic – . After years of yelling and screaming at his sister (Sonic).Sonic has elevated
his whining and screaming skills to a new level. His ability to make awful and ear aching noises have paralyzed many an opponent who was foolish enough challenge him

Sonica –The sister of Sonic who as a matter of survival against her ear splitting
brother has developed a talent to mute sound. Her ability to silence her foes is
legendary.

Invisa Girl – One of the most fashion conscious and stylish ultrakids, Invisa girl wants to be seen, but unfortunately her powers make her invisible. Her treasured weapon
is her homemade yet chic “Invisa girl” power ring.

Veggie Boy – Raised in a vegetable patch, Veggie boy is determined to fight
for “Truth, Justice, and more Vegetables. A sworn enemy of Cows and
Pigs, Veggie boy use his trademark “Carrotizer” to annihilate
steaks , chops and whole chickens  in a single blast. Many years ago, Veggie boy
was instrumental when the Ultrakids fought the evil “Porkmiester”

Laser Boy – A skillful swordsboy with paralyzing eye blasts, Laser boy
is usually one of the first on the scene to tackle evildoers. In his spare time,
Laser boy enjoys having staring contests but as of late not many want to challenge him.

Next Project... 02/14/2009

Okay, I'm gonna kill the suspense: it's not Ultrakids 4.
I did have some ideas about it (like shooting it in HD (high definition)). Oh check that out, a parentheses within a parentheses!
But that's not it. It's gonna be something big...actually I did some estimations and found out that it was approximately one hour long.
Of animation.
Why that's...(1 hour = 60 minutes, 1 minute = 60 seconds, 24 frames per second =...oh drat)...24 x 60 x 60 = 86400 drawings!
Uh oh.

Thanks to Weebly's quick and easy website design interface, the Ultrakids website is complete!
We've got a lot of fun stuff going on here. My personal favorite: the forums. Right now it's just me and my siblings talking to each other but hopefully that will change soon!
And there's this weird bug: whenever you go to Watch Ultrakids, the links get all messed up. The GuestBook link disappears and this blog changes into Ultra-Blog (if you click on it, it will say page missing). Gonna try to fix that.
So join the forum, sign the guestbook, ask a question on the main page, etc. Lots of stuff to do here!
As Weebly (the company hosting this website) adds more features to its website editor, more features will creep their way to this site. So this site ain't gonna get stale anytime soon.
Now, time to write my Jr. Church lesson...maybe I should post it on this blog...
