Behind the Scenes of JellyTelly 10/15/2009
Here's a little clip from the Jellyfish Labs community site. You have to become a member to watch it (which I am) so I hope I don't get ordered to take this video off. Anyways, it's really informational, if you want to learn how to green screen, this is it. So anyway, if you want to see the actual stuff, check out JellyTelly.com. Maybe in the future I'll be able to pitch an Ultrakids show to them...eh, wishful thinking. Better than pitching it to Disney and having the Ultrakids talk about the weather. Original Ultrakids costume designs 10/12/2009
Here are the original designs for the Ultrakids costumes in late 2006. Some of them are pretty radical; I mean, the actors thought the actual costumes were bad enough. None of the actors were cast when I was sketching these, FYI. The Ultra-Suits![]() This design is pretty close to the actual costume that my mom made. The red sleeve enders (I don't know what to call it) were taken out as well as the red belt. And who wants to wear yellow pants? Love the logo though, it's so cool. Theses Ultra-suits are not like the Bat-Suit or whatever. They have no super-powers or gadgets or anything. They're just ordinary t-shirts that Over-the-Hill-Good-Guy made for the Ultrakids, canonically. That's something I love about the Ultrakids take on the Superhero genre: the very un-superheroness of it all. The Ultrakids don't even have real powers. They're like superhero wannabes. But still, they can fight evil and all that good stuff. There's almost an analogy there that you don't need super powers to save the world. Oh man, that's deep. Okay, taken up enough word space. Benchers 10/07/2009
I made this in 2006. It started out as doing a music video of my cousins and brothers dunking basketballs, but ended up having a story of some sort. This is probably the first video I made where I actually was thinking of how it would look like after it was edited. Angles and stuff, you know. Before this, most of my vidoes were composed of one long shot after the other. I'll post some of them in a little while. |
